About the Project
<p>Anti-Corruption Coalition Uganda (ACCU), together with the Regional Anti-Corruption Coalitions (RACCs), are implementing a three year Gender Strategic Social Accountability project in partnership with DANIDA and Action Aid. The Gender Project is implemented in Uganda in the Districts of Iganga, Kyenjojo, Hoima, Mbarara, Dokolo, Soroti, Apac, and Arua.</p>
<p>The implementing RACCs include; Rwenzori Anti-Corruption Coalition (RAC), Mid-western Region Anti-Corruption Coalition (MIRAC), Anti-Corruption Coalition of Busoga (ACCOB), Teso Anti-Corruption Coalition (TAC), MAYANK Anti-Corruption Coalition (MACCO), Northern Uganda Anti-Corruption Coalition (NUAC), The Apac Anti-Corruption Coalition (TAACC), and Mbarara District Civil Society Forum (MBADICSOF)</p>
<p>The Project uses the mobile phones as an instrument to expose corruption by the 640 women monitors elected from the 8 districts to monitor the Education and Health Sector. The reports are represented on a map to show the statistics of the corruption cases by Sector, Region and form of corruption which are to be used to engage the Government Agencies in ensuring good service delivery.</p>
