SERVICE FEES IN HOIMA HEALTH FACILITIES

Description

On 17/2/2012 women monitors reported that Nurses at Hoima Referral Hospital charge Ushs.6,000 for expectant mothers to deliver at the facility. For those that cant afford to pay the charge services are denied. This also includes sell of gloves and other effects required in delivery.The District Health office was contacted and clarified that delivery services are free of charge and also provided a hotline to the women to report such cases.
